About Me

My journalism career started in college, but my love for words and storytelling goes back decades to being a little girl with endless diaries and pencil bags full of colored pencils, just drawing and writing my life away. As a child, I often wrote short stories and showed them to my family through talent shows or plays. I found journalism in college, where I quickly started my undergraduate career as a staff writer. Eventually, I worked up the ladder to become the editor-in-chief of the online student newspaper, The Celt Independent, at the University of St.Thomas in Houston. After graduating college, I started as a political reporter for the Texas Signal, covering issues like immigration, environmental matters, and state campaign races. Now, I work as the Metro Reporter for Chron.com, covering everything from Houston culture and transportation to education. Please leave me an inquiry for any pitches.
